Editor’s Letter

Figures released by Rightmove, show sellers now lowering their asking prices with an increasing number of properties remaining unsold, due to a lack of buyers.

Although activity in the housing market is at an all time low, it is the right time for first-time buyers to browse and to study the market. With demand so low, prospective buyers can negotiate from a position of strength.

This news follows research by the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA), which reported that the privately rented property sector is continuing to gain strength.

Privately rented properties are now worth more than the commercial property sector, totalling £500 billion. The ARLA claims this success is actually stabilising the struggling housing market.

Buying new builds is still a sensible option for first-time buyers. Developers eager to attract home hunters, have special deals targeted at them making home ownership that little bit easier.

Myfirsthomeltd team hope you will enjoy making your way through our newsletter as much as we do, thus contributing to making home hunting easier, enjoyable and rewarding.

We welcome any feedback from our readers and clients. Please send your thoughts to: info@myfirsthomeltd.com
